Sortie 191 - Navigation down Margaret River

Among all the solo navigation flights, Sortie 191 is the most highly anticipated flight. The route for Sortie 191 brings us down to the most South Westerly point of the Australia continent passing by Margaret River. So here's wat i captured on my route down South.

Performance of my cockpit when going down South
Maintaining 5500ft, 16 degree, cool weather.

Overflying Peel Inlet, Mandurah
My first waypoint was down to Bunbury and Peel Inlet, Mandurah is along my track.

Bunbury Town
Huge town...my first waypoint down to Margaret River.

Near Busselton
Coming near to Busselton, managed to capture some really interesting shots.

Busselton Jetty
The view of Busselton Jetty from 5500ft above the ground. It just looks extremely long doesn't it? haha...it's about 2km out into the ocean.

On track down to Margaret River
Extreme end of the picture is the western most tip of South Western, Australia where you can find lighthouse Cape Naturaliste.

Cape Leeuwin

Above 2 pictures marked the turning point of my navigation down south. Cape Leeuwin is the southern most tip of Western Australia. Wat a sight!

View from 3500ft above the Ground

2 weeks into Phase 3. Haven't really flew my dual flights yet. Have been flying my solo flights. After doing many cross country flights, here's wat i see high in the sky.

Peel Inlet, Mandurah
Located at the southern tip of our training area. One of the waypoints tat we often overfly before turning Eastwards during our cross country flights.

Thunderstorm! Keep clear
View of a developing thunderstorm at 2500ft. Not something tat we will want to fly into. Photo was taken by LP during his navigation flight. He was forced to divert back to Jandakot airport due to the thunderstorm developing.

Yenyening Lakes
Yenyening Lakes is our "best friend" when we go for our cross country flights. It can be seen 20nm out on a good visibility day.

Cockpit Performance
Cockpit performance. It was pretty turbulent when i was taking this photo. So as you can see...the performance of the aircraft was haywire. 500ft per min descend rate by my power was at 2200rpm. I was suppose to maintain 3500ft...hahaha...my bad!

Errmmm...yah..me~
hahaha...this pic no need to explain. Tat's just me~
