November 05 Red Bull Air Race 2007 - Final LeagueThe final league of the Red Bull Air Race 2007 was held over in Perth City, Western Australia. Saturday (03102007) was the qualifying round and Sunday was the actual race day.
The battle of the overall race leader for season 2007 was between Paul Bonhomme and Mike Mangold. Paul Bonhomme had been consistent throughout the season and was leading the race with 45 championship pts and following closely behind him was Mike Mangold with 43 pts. A 2 point margin separated the top 2 pilots. That would mean that the fate of who would be crowned the overall champion for 2007 season was yet to be determined.

Hungary’s verteran pilot, Peter Besenyei came in first for the qualifying round, while Mike Mangold and Paul Bonhomme came in 3rd and 5th respectively. The actual race day saw 12 remaining top pilots going head on with one another fighting for the last 8 spots in the quarterfinals.
The much anticipated head on between Mike Mangold and Paul Bonhomme couldn't had happened earlier. The battle between the 2 pt leaders took place during the quarterfinals which saw Mike Mangold edged out Paul Bonhomme. That tipped the overall championship to Mike Mangold as finishing in the top 3 will be enough to overtake P. Bonhomme.
The final league for the Red Bull Air Race saw some unusual faces for the finals. It was the battle between N. Ivanoff and M. Goulian as both pilots managed to edge out M. Mangold and A. Maclean respectively.
The day's winner was N. Ivanoff and a twist of fate saw M. Mangold crowned the overall champion for season 2007. For more detailed happenings, please visit the official website of the Red Bull Air Race.

Signing out~ October 31 Red Bull Air Race 2007 - Final LeagueFor those who are like planes, enjoy flying or in the aviation industry, must have heard of the Red Bull Air Race. For those who haven't, I am sure you have heard of Formula 1 Racing right? Basically, the annual Red Bull Air Race is something like Formula 1 racing, just that the race course is a couple of hundred feet in the sky and the machines happen to be planes. As much as a Formula 1 driver is being pushed to accept those unforgiving G forces when cornering, a Red Bull Air Race pilot are also subjected to tremendous amount of G forces (up to 10Gs) in the race. As what 1 of the pilot said, having 10Gs acting on you is like having 2 huge elepants seating on top of you...for those who still have absolutely no idea wat i am talking about, please check out Red Bull Air Race.
I must say that my course mates and i are really very lucky to be able to witness this annual event live over here in Perth, Western Australia! Singapore aint one of the race locations but Perth, Western Australia is. heh heh...and to top things up, the race planes are stationed in Jandakot Airport which is where we are staying and flying! heh heh heh! wonderful!
So, of course, we went down to the hangers to take pics and talk to the ace pilots who will be piloting the planes this coming weekend over in Perth City for the final league of the season! oki enough of words, let's just see some pics.

Signing out~ August 17 JDK Welcome Party for Course 125It has been a month since i arrived here in Jandakot. Every course will have to go thru a welcome party, kinda like an initiation thingy so as to get to know the cadets from other courses.
Sorry, no pics for this posting, becoz i was busy drinking my beer hahaha...but notch alot...just 3 cans. Beer taste erkky, almost puke...Chips, Beer and Chocolate accompanied us for the whole of the evening.
Things didn't get outa hand, which was kinda surprising. All the party shit ended at around 930 and it's then back to our rooms to slack...which is wat i am doing now. hahaha...oki enough of bitching.
